There are five sections in the app that you see displayed in the bottom Tab menu:
Home: This is your customized view consisting of two sections. The Dashboard showcases your Weekly Workout Goal, Go-To workouts, and other relevant workout content. The Updates section displays recent updates from yourself and your friends.
Programs: Browse this section to find premium training programs that help you achieve a specific goal. Programs are crafted by certified personal trainers and are customizable to fit into your busy lifestyle. Refer to the FAQ about Programs for more detailed information.
Workouts: This is the main area of the app that is your gateway to exploring all of the workouts our app has to offer! Check back every few days to see new Workout of the Week (WOW) challenges for you to try.
Trainers: Head over here to find an expert who can guide and motivate you. You can follow any Trainer and browse Available Trainers to start 1:1 Online Personal Training with a dedicated coach.
Community: We all know that getting and staying fit is more fun with friends. This section will connect you to our community of over 15 million exercisers who are also committed to leading a healthy lifestyle. Stay motivated by following some community members and inviting your own friends to Workout Trainer. Their workout and photo updates can inspire you to make progress towards your own goals. Free Workouts:
All of our workouts are created by expert personal trainers and nearly all of the individual workouts are free in the 'Workouts' tab when you select the digital trainers, Kim and Sophia. Additionally, some workouts allow you to listen to our real personal trainer, Greg, Lisa and Claudia, as a free sample!

Paid features:
1) When you purchase a PRO+ subscription, you have instant access to all of the Skimble-created workouts and training programs in Workout Trainer.
2) Each training program in the 'Programs' tab is created by an expert personal trainer and is available for a small price if you are not a PRO+ subscriber. After purchase, you will have full access to that training program on all your Android and iOS devices.
3) If you would like to be coached by a dedicated expert, you can start 1:1 Online Personal Training with an available Trainer. Go to the Trainers area to get started.

1) A scheduled set of workouts created by an expert personal trainer.
2) Reminders to do each workout at your preferred workout time.
3) Smart scheduling to fit your calendar. We won't schedule workouts on days that you don't want.
4) The best audio, videos and photos that we offer for each workout.

Each training program is available for a one time fee. After purchase, you can complete the program as many times as you want. You can unlock all Skimble-created programs with a PRO+ membership, allowing you to enroll in multiple programs at once.

4) Unlimited Content Creation: Create as many of your own exercises, workouts, and programs as you’d like.

To start your PRO+ membership, you will be charged $9.99 USD/month subject to the exchange rates that Google or Samsung offers. There are no long-term commitments - take it one month at a time. You can cancel at any time and your PRO+ access will stop at the end of your current billing cycle.

Some Trainers offer a FREE TRIAL period to sample their coaching services. If at the end of your trial you do not cancel, you will continue to receive paid training from your chosen trainer based on their rate. Here is a list of the most important permissions we ask for and the reasons why we need them:

Your Coarse Location: When you save a workout session, we also try to send your approximate location so that we can note where you did the workout.
Full Internet Access: Most of our application requires content be needs to be downloaded at least once, for example the audio and images required to do a workout.
Read Phone State & Identity: We ask to read the phone state so that if a phone call comes in during your workout we will pause the workout for you. We do not use your identity as provided for by this permission - Android unfortunately groups these two things together.
Modify / Delete SD Card Contents: To improve application performance and reduce network usage, we store content from the Internet on the SD card. You can see how much space we're using on the SD card by going to Settings -> Cache Size, and you can tap on this item to remove all SD card content.
Prevent Device From Sleeping: We prevent the device from turning off its screen and processor only during a workout.
Automatically Start At Boot: When the device boots up, we do a quick check to see if you are currently in a training program, and if so we reschedule your reminder alarms for the upcoming workouts. No network requests are made as part of this check.

Other permissions:

Control Vibrator: Used when a payment is successfully made.
View Network State: Used only to see if the device is on a Wifi or Data Plan connection. If you're on a Data Plan connection we skip some operations to use less data.
Receive Data From Internet: For Google's Cloud Messenger service. This allows us to push reminder notifications to your device (notifications can be disabled via Settings -> Show Notifications).

This is because of a few technical limitations in the Android platform. In order to provide an uninterrupted workout experience, allow you to add the homepage widget, and remind you to do workouts while you are in a program, we must be installed directly on your Android device.

Notes let you share your fitness state-of-mind or even a quick motivational tip or message to your followers and friends. Your Notes show up on your profile and are seen by the community if you are a public user. If you are a private user, your Notes are only visible to users you follow.

我应如何追踪在锻炼中消耗的卡路里?

To provide accurate calorie info, we need your age, weight, and gender. You can update this information by pressing the Menu button and selecting Settings -> Update Your Info. This information is private and never shown to other users. Once we have your info, calories will be shown on your next workout!

Please note that while we try to provide accurate calorie counts these values are only estimates, and can vary based on the amount of effort applied in a workout.

If you get behind in your training program, you can choose to do one of three things:
1) Skip the workouts you missed. Tap 'do workout' on the program page and then select 'skip this'.
2) Do the workouts you missed. If you are ready to break a sweat, then you can try to catch up!
3) Restart the program. Tap on 'Edit' while viewing the program, then on 'Leave Program'. Then, you can restart the program from the beginning.

There are three different audio levels available:
1) Human: Listen to real athletes and trainers lead you through each exercise and keep you going strong! Available in a select number of workouts, upgrade to PRO+ to get access to all of them. Thanks!
2) Digital+: Higher quality digital audio trainers available for free on your device. Digital+ trainers tell you more about what to do during each exercise than the basic digital audio trainers. Requires an internet connection to download the audio for each workout the first time you do it.
3) Digital: Basic digital audio trainers available for free on your device with no internet connection.

我是否需要连接网络以使用健身教练?

You can use Workout Trainer without an internet connection. We try to save as many workouts as possible for access offline so just browse around and you'll be able to access most of what you view later. If you want to access Digital+ or Human audio for a workout, you will have to download it once and then you'll have access to it without internet. Just start doing the workout and the audio will be downloaded and saved for later.

心率反馈支持哪些设备?

We support Android compatible smartwatches including Android Wear 2.0+ smartwatches and Samsung Gear smartwatches. We also support all major Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Heart Rate Monitors that are available on the market. These include the Wahoo TICKR heart rate monitors and the Polar H7 & H10 heart rate monitors. Unfortunately, we are not able to support Fitbit or Garmin heart rate devices.

Download the latest Workout Trainer app update on your Android device.
For Android Wear, you’ll also need to download the Workout Trainer companion app onto your smartwatch and make sure your smartwatch and device are connected before you start working out. Make sure you accept the permission to read heart rate date when Workout Trainer starts on your smartwatch.
If you’re using a bluetooth heart rate monitor, check that the device is sharing its heart rate data via bluetooth. You may need to download the companion app from the heart rate monitor manufacturer and pair the monitor in their app before it will connect to your device. For example, for Polar HRM's, you need to download the Polar Beat app from Google Play, then go in to the settings in that app and pair your heart rate monitor. After that, Workout Trainer will be able to connect to it.
You can see if your heart rate devices are connected and working together on the overlay before you hit the PLAY button!

你能解释心率汇总图吗?

This graph is generated by the continuous heart rate data that is shared from HR-enabled smartwatch and bluetooth HR monitors, matched up with the exercises you complete throughout the course of your workout. You can tap on each individual exercise to find out your average heart rate for that specific exercise. In addition, we take all the data and provide you with your Resting BPM (beats per minute), Average BPM, and Max BPM. Resting BPM can only be calculated in workouts where there is at least one rest period in which we have obtained an HR datapoint.

你能解释心率区图吗?

We establish your HR Zones based on your Max Heart Rate, which is calculated based on your age. The age we use is the one you have added to Workout Trainer. You can update your age as part of your Fitness Assessment in the Settings section of the app.
Warm Up = 0-59% of HR Max
Fat Burn = 60-69% of HR Max
Vigorous = 70-79% of HR Max
VO2 Max is 80-100% of HR Max
You may want to target certain zones as you repeat workouts to hit your performance targets.

Workout Trainer PRO+ members will have access to the advanced Compare and Analyze tool to help members and trainers review their performance, and their clients’ performance, against past workouts. This will help measure progress over time, all the way down to the exercise level! Specifically, you can select two different past workouts and compare key metrics such as overall BPM stats and HR zones, as well as exercise-specific BPM and HR zones.
In the latest update, you will also see aggregated HR related metrics across all of the workouts you have done with HR feedback enabled. You can see this on your Home dashboard and your Profile page. If you have friends or trainers who are using Workout Trainer PRO+ with you, that’s great, they will also be able to see your HR progress.

We understand that sometimes life gets in the day of our training! If you are enrolled in a program, you can always reschedule one workout or your remaining workouts in the program. You can access your enrolled programs from the HOME section in the app.

If you feel you want more 1:1 guidance, head on over to the Trainers sections to recruit a dedicated expert. On any Available Trainer’s profile page simply Start 1:1 Online Personal Training and stay accountable and motivated with personalized training!

1. Go to the Programs section and tap on the '+' icon.
2. Add a program title, description, difficulty.
3. To schedule workouts into the calendar view, tap the day you want to add a workout. You can choose to add workouts that you have created or select from ones that Skimble and the community have created.
4. Make your edits and remember to SAVE your unpublished DRAFT.
5. When you are ready, PUBLISH your program by choosing either to make the program PUBLIC (available to PRO+ members) or PRIVATE (available only to people you SEND it to - a handy tool for Trainers to send to Clients).

Please note that creating programs is a feature available for PRO+ members only.

Google Play Subscription
If you subscribed via Google Play on Android, please do so via the My Apps tab in Google Play, either in app or from your home PC.

Samsung Galaxy Store Subscription
If you subscribed via the Samsung Galaxy Store app on Android, please do so via Galaxy Store on your Android device. In the Galaxy Store, tap to open the left side navigation. Then tap on 'Subscriptions'. You should then see your Workout Trainer subscription and be able to cancel it. If you have any issues, please contact us at [email protected].

If you subscribed via skimble.com, please go here

Deleting your Skimble account will not automatically cancel your PRO+ subscription, so please be sure that you cancel before deleting your account, otherwise you run the risk of getting additional charges.

For each trainer you are actively receiving 1:1 Online Personal Training services from, simply to to your respective 1:1 Message Streams and tap the settings icon to Manage Relationship. You will see when your billing cycle occurs as well as the option to cancel.
Deleting your Skimble account will not automatically cancel your 1:1 Online Personal Training services, so please be sure that you cancel otherwise you run the risk of getting additional charges.

In order to qualify as a verified trainer, we look up and confirm various credentials such as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification developed and issued by a national fitness certification organization which is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Workouts: Create move-by-move mobile workouts and programs with our extensive multimedia exercise library. You can share your training content on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Google+ on Android) and to even recommend them to your specific clients (In-App, Email, Text Message). People can play your workouts from anywhere, which is a great way to assign exercise homework when you can't be there. Go to the Workouts section and hit the '+' icon to get started!

Online Training: We now offer the ability to build your business and earn money through paid 1:1 Online Personal Training. Currently available for US-based trainers with a valid US bank account and SSN, you can offer your online services through our platform and reach even more people in need!

1. Go to the Workouts section and tap on the '+' icon.
2. Create a workout title, short description, and specify difficulty.
3. Add Exercises to the workout!
4. When adding Exercises, determine how you want to complete it such as through a Timed or Rep-Based playback.
5. Optionally customize each exercise by specifying the intended Load (like weights or resistance) and Effort Level (from casual - max effort).
6. Download or Play your workout.
7. Share your workout on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ on Android, and through Email or SMS.

如何使用高级指令自定义练习

Exercises can be Time (duration) based or Rep based.
*Tip: With time based exercises, the workout will play by automatically advancing to the next exercise when the time has elapsed. With rep based exercises, users need to tap through to progress to the next exercise.

Duration: 45 seconds

Bicep Curls
Reps: 12

Some exercises can have a Load Type and Load Level set.
*Tip: You may want to set a load for exercises with weights, resistance bands or cardio machines.

Dumbbell Push Press
Load Type: Weight
Load Level: Light

Band Front Raises
Load Type: Resistance
Load Level: Heavy

Treadmill Running
Load Type: Incline
Load Level: Low

Some exercises can have an Effort Level set to guide the intensity.
*Tip: This may be helpful to use when including active recovery in your workouts or to guide how to build intensity to the peak of the workout.

Burpees
Effort Level: Max Effort

Seated Cycling
Effort Level: Light

Trainers/Note: If you are familiar with the RPE scale, our effort levels correspond to RPE exertion categories.

如何在锻炼中更改练习

When you create or edit a workout, you can modify the exercises in several ways.
Change exercise: swap out exercises with something else in our multimedia exercise library. If you don't find what you are looking for in Search, then add your new custom exercise.
Change reps, resistance...: add custom exercise instructions including exercise duration or suggested reps.
Duplicate: this will add the same exercise as a new exercise to your workout so you can edit and rearrange it to your liking.
You can change set numbers, move sets up/down, and delete exercises or sets via the '...' option.

2. Follow the instructions to pair your smartwatch to your device.

4. Find a workout in the Workout Trainer app on your Android device and tap PLAY. A custom Workout Trainer watch interface will launch on your paired smartwatch.

For Samsung Wearable owners, you must additionally download the Workout Trainer companion app. Simply search for it on the Samsung Galaxy Store.

怎么把我的锻炼同步到 Google Health Connect 或三星 S Health?

1. In the Workout Trainer app, after completing a workout, you may see a pop up that requests for your permission to sync with Android Health Connect and/or Samsung S Health. Approve this request and your next workouts will sync with the approved apps.
2. If you do not see this pop up, open the Google Health Connect and/or Samsung S Health app and be sure to add Workout Trainer as a Connected or Partner app.

如何使用 Chromecast 进行锻炼

To do workouts with Chromecast, you can either cast your entire mobile device screen to your Chromecast Device, or you can go to our full website on your computer and use our Workout Player on the web. You can then cast that easily in Google Chrome to your Chromecast.
